Introduction:The unmet need for family planning reflects the gap between womens reproductive intentions and their contraceptive behavior. Its a useful indicator tracking progress towards target of achieving universal access to health. Aim:This study aimsat measuringthe level in Ombada locality identify determinants that affectutilization FP methodsand assessthe readiness public health facilities provision services. Methods:The was descriptive cross-sectional facility community-based studyusinga multistage sampling technique.The collected data from married women age (15-49 years)and providingfamily services area using structured questionnaire checklist respectively. The were analyzed Statistical Package Social Sciences version20. Results:Currently users methods (21.55%). total high measured as (39.26%), while demand (60.8%). Factors such age, at marriage, living children, knowledge about discussion with husband found be significantly related need. Major reasons non-use husband/family objection, fear side effects lack methods. Assessment revealed poor infrastructure readiness. Conclusion: Women surveyed are still not empowered regarding choices, they under control husbands families concerning use In addition, counsellingcomponent, which weakest link services, lead voluntary or un-voluntary avoid methods, adopting unprofessional sources alternatives. Thus, policymakers directorates managers have carefully consider findings when interventions.
